Telecoms Cloud Limited – Chairman –I co-founded Telecoms Cloud with @paulfp in 2012 as part of a consolidation of a number of businesses I acquired, along with my existing communications company of 15 years . Telecoms Cloud is an API-driven telecommunications platform which gives developers the tools they require to incorporate scalable, highly-available telecoms functionality within their applications, using Telecoms Cloud’s global infrastructure under the bonnet, rather than investing in their own expensive and cumbersome hardware setup.
Internet of Things Limited – Chairman – Internet of Things is a research group with special interests in RFID, Remote Sensing, Wearable technology, MQ Telemetry Transport (MQTT), mobile, healthcare applications and several other areas of interest. It works with developer groups, universities and industry on various ideas for commercial exploitation, creating the next generation of internet connected devices for use across many different industries. It has planned a number of open source community projects and it is always on the lookout for partners to work with on these various bleeding edge applications to share both risk and reward for both commercial gain and to the benefit of the community.
Crosby dot UK Community Interest Company – I’m Non-Executive Chairman of this not-for-profit social enterprise community interest company, limited by guarantee. It is a online social network for the Crosby area of Liverpool, England and its surrounding areas (Little Crosby, Thornton, Blundellsands, Seaforth, Waterloo and Brighton-le-sands). My role is to lead the board of directors, set strategy and advise on technical matters regarding the strategic use of technology.

IX Liverpool – I’m chair of this not for profit company based in Liverpool, working to build an Internet Exchange in Liverpool to help make connections for citizens faster, more reliable and cheaper that could indirectly create jobs and help up-skill the local economy.
